At a press conference in Ankara, Turkey, the head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu said Turkey regrets that the attempt to establish a ceasefire on Syrian territory has failed.
“We strongly supported the previous agreement between Russia and the US. Unfortunately, the truce has not been implemented in full. We have been discussing these issues with Russia since our relations began to normalize” – said Cavusoglu.
According to him Turkish diplomats are up to similar negotiations with the Iranian authorities. Cavusoglu stressed that all parties of the Syrian conflict should seek to establish a ceasefire and find a political solution to the conflict.
