TURKEY SLAMS US OVER THE IMPLEMENTATION OF MANBIJ DEAL

Turkey will launch a new military operation in northern Syria within days targeting Kurdish militia fighters who are supported by U.S. troops east of the Euphrates river, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday.

Making a a speech Turkish president reaffirmed that United States must support Turkey, not Syrian Kurds who are considered to be a “terrorist offshoot” of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has waged an insurgency against the Turkish state since 1984.

Erdogan has repeatedly voiced frustration about the delays in the implementation of the Manbij deal, saying last month that the agreement should be fully carried out by US allies by the end of this year.
