TURKEY BOMBS KURDISH TOWN NEAR ALEPPO, CASUALTIES REPORTED

kobane_3071699bTurkey’s military forces launched on Saturday an offensive on a Kurdish district in Syria’s northwestern Aleppo Governorate, causing casualties among civilians.

The Turkish army hit Afrin District with dozens of mortar and artillery shells. At least eight Kurdish civilians were killed and 19 others wounded in the attack.

The Turkish forces also bombed the Shadiya village in Afrin countryside with heavy artillery, killing at least two civilians and injuring several others.
