TURKEY-BACKED FORCES CLASH WITH YPG IN NW SYRIA

Militants of Turkey-backed Ahrar al-Sham group several hours ago launched an offensive on the Kurdish town of Iska in Afrin district, northwest of Aleppo province.

Reports say Turkish artillery supported the attack targeting the town held by the Kurdish YPG forces. The attack resulted in numerous civilians killed and wounded, several buildings were destroyed or damaged badly.

YPG, for their part, attacked Ahrar al Sham positions in Darat Izza district near Afrin.
