The conflict between Hay’at Tahrir al Sham and Nour al Din al Zenki was preceded by a long history of complicated relations. Both groups jointly operated in fighting the government forces and even were united, but not for long – an open confrontation between two groups began in 2017.
In summer of 2017, conflict between Tahrir al-Sham and Nour al-Din al-Zenki has emerged again, after which both sides exchanged mutual accusations that led to a series of clashes. Even al-Zenki released a video statement declaring a war on HTS on November 10.
In December 2017 HTS had stormed al Zenki HQ in Aleppo’s Atarib town and discovered NLF militants have provided coordinates of the rivaling al Qaeda-linked terrorists positions to the Russian Air Force for further airstrikes:

In 2018 clashes between the group has been continuing. But after a while, sides agreed to stop fighting, however, a wave of mysterious killings of various commanders has spread across Idlib province.
Then infighting has erupted anew.
In October 2018 SMM Syria has reported Nour al Din al Zenki top leader Sheikh Tawfiq Shahabuddin has held an emergency meeting with influential figures of various militant groups in Hayyan town of Aleppo province.
