Syrian Army troop engaged in fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor city and its outskirts, inflicting dozens of casualties on the militants.
A number of ISIS members were killed and some others were wounded in heavy fighting with the Syrian army soldiers near Deir Ezzor airbase.
Meantime, Syrian army men attacked ISIS strongholds near al-Maqaber and in al-Orfi neighborhood, leaving scores of the terrorists dead or wounded.
ISIS strongholds in the farms near Panorama came under shelling by the Syrian army’s artillery units. According to reports five machinegun-equipped vehicles of the terrorist group were destroyed in the shelling.
On Saturday, Syrian military forces stormed ISIS strongholds in Southwestern Deir Ezzor and drove the terrorists out from a strategic hill in the region after hours of fierce clashes.
ISIS suffered a heavy death toll and retreated from Um Aboud hill after its positions came under the heavy offensive of the Syrian army soldiers.
In the meantime, Syrian army soldiers repelled ISIS attacks to prevail over government positions in Deir Ezzor airbase, al-Thardah mountain, al-Maqaber and al-Orfi neighborhoods, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.
