Russia will supply Syria with a batch of short to medium range air defense systems additionally to long range S-300 systems, which will soon be delivered to the country.
Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon states that Israel does not want Syria to receive Russia’s S-300 surface-to-air missile systems and has channels of cooperation with Moscow to try to prevent such supplies. This claim does not comply with the recent statements of Tel-Aviv.
