Syrian Army begins offensive in northern Hama

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched their counter-offensive to recapture the territory they lost to the jihadist rebels in the northern Hama countryside.

The Syrian Armed Forces struck the jihadist rebel defenses at several axes today in a new bid to recover much of the territory near the provincial capital’s northern flank.

Led by the Shaheen Units of the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army will have an arduous journey to the Idlib Governorate border, as reinforcements from Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra front) recently arrived in northern Hama to aide the jihadist rebels.
