SAA army troops started a new stage of operations in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus to liberate the towns of al-Shifouniyeh and al-Reihan and retook control of new regions.
Syrian soldiers, supported by the air force, heavily clashed with the militants in al-Reihan region, inflicting tens of tolls on them.
SAA seized back a square kilometer of lands near the Women’s Prison near al-Reihan farms in Eastern Damascus.
The army units also destroyed two buildings near Jobar’s power station in Eastern Damascus and a tunnel in the same area, which were the centers of Fatah al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra) Front terrorists, and killed all the militants inside the tunnel.
Meantime, the Syrian fighter jets pounded the Jeish al-Islam terrorists’ positions in Douma and Harasta towns in the Eastern parts of Damascus.
