SAA RAISES FLAG OVER IRAQI BORDER

VIDEO: Syrian Army Troops Retake More Areas in Hama, Aleppo

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has raised the flag over an Iraqi border-crossing for the first time since retreating from this area in the Spring 2015.

Following an agreement between the US and Russian forces, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies from Hezbollah and the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd Al Sha’abi) were given the green light to take control of Al Boudah village, which is located northeast of the Al Tanf Crossing.

With Al Boudah seied, the Syrian Arab Army was able to assert control over the border-crossing northeast of Tanf; this resulted in obstruction of US-backed backed forces from the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
