Apparently, The Syrian Army has become strong enough to conduct cleansing operations against opposition groupings in the city of Aleppo.
A success in the battle for the artillery base and Ramouseh district made the SAA commanding officers optimistic on announcing a joint offensive of Aleppo’s Eastern neighborhoods early September 23.
The assault teams moved out from Aleppo airport to the Citadel and took several residential and industrial quarters under control. It appears that the operation plan means dividing encircled Eastern Aleppo into 2 parts so that it would be easier to make armed opposition members surrender.
Simultaneously, the SAA units have advanced in the North-East of Aleppo near the camp Handarat capturing several buildings from the militants. These actions are supposed to stop Nour al-Din al-Zinki militant group activities inside of the pocket near Castello road.
