Rebels suffer heavy losses in Hama

Opposition groups failed to capture northern regions of Hama province on September 17. Rebels attacked positions of Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in Maan village, violating the agreed truce. The main goal of militants was to carry forward the advance after they captured a number of territories which were under the control of government forces. SAA soldiers repelled the assault. Opposition groups suffered heavy losses, more than 50 militants wounded and about 35 dead.
