The Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reportedly launched an offensive against Turkey-backed rebel groups in the North of Aleppo province.
The SDF hit Euphrates Shield rebels positions near Marea town, using heavy artillery and mortar fire. The Syrian Democratic Forces shelled rebel headquarters in the Tweys village to the South of Marea town. Tweys is the main defense line for the rebel groups in the strategic Marea town in Northern Aleppo.
According to reports, at least 12 rebels were killed and four military vehicles were destroyed.
