ISIS used at least 10 explosive-laden motorcycles to break through the army positions near the Air Force Academy, but failed due to the strong defense of the Syrian soldiers deployed in the region.
ISIS left scores of dead or wounded members behind and retreated from the battlefield.
In the meantime, Syrian fighter jets struck terrorist centers in Maarit al-Artik, Kafr Hamra and Anadan in Northern Aleppo, inflicting heavy damage on their armored and machinegun-equipped vehicles.
Reports said on Friday that Syrian Army troops and popular forces were hitting Jeish al-Fatah’s defense lines heavily in the Northern outskirts of Aleppo after the capture of the Handarat Palestinian Refugee Camp and al-Kandi Hospital.
