11 opposition militants showed symptoms of exposure to chemical weapons after an ISIS shelling in the area of Yarmok Camp in Southern Damascus.

According to local sources, the shelling was preceded by clashes between ISIS and armed opposition groups. The terror group lost five members and resorted to the use of a chemical agent, most likely chlorine.

The attack targeted the area which houses a UNRWA hospital and a Japanese charity hospital. Those who were exposed to chemicals suffered from suffocation and excessive tearing.

The area of the attack is contested by ISIS and local armed groups, such as Kataib Aknaf Bait al-Maqdis, Liwa Sham Rasul, Jaysh al-Ababil and Jaysh al-Islam.
