ISIS has an extensive and disguised network in Idlib province, which is supported by locals, who are annoyed with Hay’at Tahrir al Sham rule in the region.
According to the source, Daesh terrorists have started to wreak havoc in opposition-held areasby committing attacks on HTS militants. Islamic states slipper cells reportedly hit HTS in Idlib city and in its suburbs. In turn, HTS has began a few operations to detect and eliminate ISIS groups. The reports claim jihadists attacked former al Nusra fighters twice in the last week killing a number of their rivals.
It’s unlikely that ISIS will be able to take control over Idlib province, there may be the emergence of new Islamic states strongholds in Northwestern Syria.
