ERDOGAN AND PUTIN AGREED ON PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT OF THE SYRIAN CONFLICT

Turkish President Rejep Erdogan met the Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Ankara on Thursday, Sep 28th.

An a joint press conference held after the talks, Putin and Erdogan confirmed their readiness to deepen coordination on ending the Syrian crisis by reaching a political solution.

The Turkish President also mentioned the creation of a “de-escalation zone” in Idlib province, saying that Ankara and Moscow will intensify their efforts on this direction.
This was confirmed by Putin, who stressed that Idlib de-escalation zone would be the biggest one.
