The Syrian government together with Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah movement has reached a deal with the militants to cease hostilities in West Qalamoun.
According to the agreement, the ceasefire came into force on Sunday, Aug 27th, as the last step of the larger deal, that provided militants with the opportunity to evacuate from Jirod Arsal area on the Syria-Lebanon border to the town of Ruheiba in West Qalamoun.

The agreement was preceded by a joint military operation carried out by the SAA and Hezbollah fighters against ISIS in West Qalamoun, which forced the militants to ask for negotiations.
