Local authorities imposed a curfew from 7 AM to 10 PM in the city of Tabqa in Raqqa province after a man was killed over a financial dispute.
No one is allowed to enter or leave the city, the Internal Committee of Raqqa set up by US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces said in its statement. The Committee did not specify an end date for the curfew.
According to local sources, the victim, who belonged to Al Wahhab tribe got into a verbal argument with a member of Al Naser tribe over a money transfer. The argument escalated to a fight, during which his opponent used a weapon his was carrying and shot the victim
The incident provoked a conflict between Al Naser and Al Wahhab tribes. Both sides suffered casualties in armed clashes that followed.
