ÇAVUŞOĞLU: A FEW COUNTRIES SUPPORT RADICAL GROUPS IN IDLIB

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu criticized the stances of the United States, England, France and other countries on Syria, calling the nations as part of a “small group.”

Some nations in that group — including Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan — are more closely aligned with supporting the interests of the People’s Protection Units (YPG), which Turkey views as a terrorist organization, Çavuşoğlu said in Washington on Wednesday.

Without naming countries directly, Çavuşoğlu said some of them oppose the creation of a new constitution in Syria and at the same time approve monetary support to “radical groups” in Idlib province to encourage those groups to violate Idlib agreement.

“Therefore, we know these countries are not well intentioned in Syria,” he said.
