A Jordanian commander from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group (HTS) was killed in and IED blast near Maar Dabsa village in eastern Idlib.
According to the messages, circulated by the group’s members on social media, Abu Talha al-Urduni was gravely wounded and died shortly after the explosion. HTS has not issued an official statement on the incident yet.
Al-Urduni became the third HTS-linked figure assassinated this week in Idlib. On Wednesday, a son of the HTS commander in West Qalamun Abu Malik al-Tali was mysteriously killed in Idlib province. On Monday, a group’s military commander Hassan Mustafa Bakur was kidnapped and killed near Maarat al-Numan.
