Jaish al Islam militants seized a warehouse containing 90 percent of the hospital’s supplies from al Salam Surgical Hospital in Arbin town of Eastern Ghouta.
Rebels took the hospital’s store of surgical tools, emergency room equipment, anesthetics and medicine after disputes between rival rebel factions in Eastern Ghouta erupted into violent infighting.
According to Abu Muhammad, al Salam Hospital’s administrator, masked men from Jaish al Islam group took everything.
In turn, Hamza Birqdar, Jaish al Islam’s spokesman, denied the administrator’s accusations telling that rebel fighters took over the warehouse in Arbin because rival faction Hay’at Tahrir al Sham were hoarding medical supplies and promised to return the supplies to the civilians of Eastern Ghouta as soon as possible.
