According to the U.S. Department of Defense’s annual budget, a single Tomahawk missile costs $1.59 million. Combine that by the 59 missiles the US ordered to be fired off two warships in the Mediterranean Sea, and you’re looking at a bill of around $94 million.
The U.S. Navy fired at least 59 cruise missiles at the al Shayrat Airbase in Homs province, but only 23 rockets landed. Crash sites of other missiles are still unknown.
