The group “Jabhat Fateh Al Sham” (formerly Al Nusra Front) announced the formation of a new rebel force that will merge their organization with other rebel factions in Syria.

Five rebel factions, including Jabhat Fateh Al Sham, agreed to disband and form a new group that will be called “Hey’sah Tahrir Al Sham” (Levant Liberation Body). The disbanded rebel factions include Jabhat Fateh Al Sham, Harakat Nouriddeen Al Zinki, Liwaa Al Haq, Liwaa Ansar Al Deen, and Jaysh Al Sunnah; these groups originally participated in several battles in northern Syria before disbanding this weekend. The leader of this new jihadist organization will be “Abu Jaber Hashem Al Sheikh”.
